Location. Set in Istanbul s historic Sultanahmet district, the Eresin Crown Hotel is a boutique hotel with a white stucco façade, and is located within 500 metres of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Istanbul Ataturk Airport is 15 kilometres away, and takes approximately 20 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features. The Eresin Crown Hotel houses a private museum that includes an ancient cistern, mosaics and historic artefacts from the Hellenistic and Byzantine periods. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas, and guests can round off the evening with a nightcap in the informal surroundings of the Column Bar. Other amenities include 24-hour room service, laundry facilities and a multilingual concierge service on hand to offer sightseeing assistance. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.

The Eresin Crown Hotel offers two dining options: The modern Mosaic restaurant is decorated with prints and antiques and serves a range of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, while the Terrace Restaurant, open in the summer, offers Turkish, Mediterranean and international dishes on a spacious terrace with views of the sea, Princess Islands and the Blue Mosque.

Guestrooms. The hotel s 59 guestrooms feature modern decor with richly patterned fabrics, parquet flooring and oak furnishings. All are air- conditioned and come equipped with dial-up and wireless Internet connections, satellite television, direct-dial phones, minibars and desks. Bathrooms include jetted tubs, bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries.

Expert Tip. Topkapi Palace, located 850 metres from the hotel, served as the administrative centre of the Ottoman Empire from 1465, and is now a museum. The Palace is constructed around four courts and includes the old imperial mint, an archaeology museum, the harem and the treasury, home to the Sacred Trusts.

Getting there. Take the metro from the airport to Sultanahmet, changing at Aksaray. Alternatively, taxis are available at the airport and cost approximately 15 EUR.

Driving directions. From the airport, head for Sirkeci, then Kennedy Street. At the traffic lights, follow signs for Sultanahmet. Continue for 500 metres. The hotel is on the left-hand side.
