Location. The Best Western Hotel Executive is located to the north of Siena, Italy, 2.5 kilometres from the city centre. The Romanesque Duomo Cathedral is 4.5 kilometres away, and Siena's main train station is one kilometre from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Surrounded by evergreen trees, this modern three-storey hotel is situated in a quiet suburb of the city. The lobby, featuring wooden floors and pillars, is home to a 24-hour front desk with safe-deposit box and offers complimentary newspapers. Tour assistance is provided for guests wishing to explore the surrounding area, and parking is complimentary.

Hotel Executive provides a complimentary buffet breakfast that varies daily. The on site restaurant, Il Patio, has outdoor seating and specialises in local Tuscan dishes. The contemporary wood-panelled hotel bar serves a selection of light snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

In addition to smaller meeting rooms, Hotel Executive also contains a large conference facility. Secretarial services are available, and wireless Internet access is provided throughout the hotel.

Guestrooms. The 73 air-conditioned guestrooms are neutrally decorated and classically furnished with navy and gold patterned bedding. All are fitted with desks, climate control, hair dryers and minibars, and equipped with satellite television and wireless Internet access. Bathrooms have bidets and showers, and bathrobes.

Expert Tip. Piazza del Campo is Siena's main town square, and is dominated by the slim, sky- scraping clock tower Torre del Mangia. The next-door Palazzo Pubblico (town hall) is home to a selection of frescos by artists Simone Martini and the Lorenzetti brothers Ambrogio and Pietro.

Distance to Best Western Hotel Executive is 75 kilometres, approximately 50 minutes' drive.

Getting there. An airport bus departs for Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station every 30 minutes taking approximately 20 minutes. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. From Santa Maria Novella, trains run to Siena's main station. However, from just to the right of the station's entrance, the SITA and TRA-IN bus companies also run frequent express services to Siena. Buses terminate at Via Tossa in the city centre in a journey time of 75 minutes. A taxi from the airport will cost approximately 140 EUR. All prices are subject to change.

Getting around. Siena is well served by buses operated by the TRA-IN company. A 10-journey pass costs 8 EUR and can be purchased at newsstands and tobacconists. All prices are subject to change.
