Getting there. Taxis are available at the airport and the fare to the hotel is typically 30 USD. Sherut (shared taxis) are a popular way of getting around Tel Aviv. Prices are cheap (around 5 NIS per person). Minibuses seat up to 10 people and most routes in the city are covered. Private taxis are convenient and inexpensive, but visitors should make sure the driver turns the meter on. Frequent bus services run around town.
