Location. Set on top of a hill beside the Rio Real golf course, and offering spectacular views along the coast, the Incosol Hotel Medical Spa is an upmarket spa hotel situated 800 metres from the nearest beach and 4.5 kilometres from Marbella's town centre. Hotel Features. The hotel hydrotherapy circuit, free to all guests, has a circuit of six varied swimming pools, including an indoor giant club-shaped spa tub overlooking the Japanese-themed garden, indoor heated pool, outdoor lap pool, infinity lake pool with waterfalls and a centrepiece palm tree island and in-pool hydro massage bench. Towels and drinks are delivered by the hotel staff to the padded lounge beds by the poolside.
Other facilities include a steam bath, sauna, Kneip shower, snow room, jetted shower, indoor heated pool and heated thermal beds. Onsite medical professionals, beauticians and therapists are on hand to administer over 100 different treatments in the spa centre. Ranging from treatments like shiatsu, underwater massage and paraffin pedicures, to sleep promotion and weight loss programmes.
Guestrooms. The Incosol Hotel Medical Spa includes 192 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites, many of which offer extensive views over the golf course, Marbella, and the Mediterranean Sea. Stone-tiled balconies extend from rooms decorated in pastel shades with traditionally-styled furniture. Marble tiled bathrooms come with shower and tub combinations, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Rooms also feature satellite TV, direct-dial phones, complimentary high- speed wireless Internet and safes.
Expert Tip. First opened in the early 1970s as a pioneering spa facility, the hotel has attracted various famous guests over the years. General Franco himself used to stay at the hotel when his portraits filled the walls, and the likes of Grace Kelly and Sean Connery have graced the corridors.
Promotion: Guests booking the Half Board plan will receive accommodations as selected, breakfast and buffet lunch or dinner with set menu in the El Jardin restaurant at the hotel for each registered guest. This plan also includes a 45 to 60 minute massage. Guests should pre-schedule the massage at the concierge desk.

Getting there. The easiest way to get from the airport to the complex is by private hire car or by taxi. A taxi should cost around 55 EUR. Alternatively, the hotel provides a private chauffeur driven-transfer service for 60 EUR for four people maximum; contact the hotel prior to arrival to arrange pick up at the airport.
Driving directions. From the airport, take the A7 motorway in the direction of Cadiz and Algerciras. Continue towards Marbella and take the exit marked Torre Real near the hospital. Follow the road up through the hills, passing the Rio Real golf course. Continue and follow the signs for the Incosol. The hotel is found at the top of the hill.
