The New Hotel Bompard is housed in a 1960s building with pastel bourgeois-style exteriors, set among flowers, lawns and woodland, one kilometre from the train station and four kilometres from football stadium. The 46 guestrooms have light, modern decor and traditional wood furnishings and include satellite television, direct-dial phones and wireless Internet connections (surcharge).
Guests can enjoy a dip in the pool, explore the hotel's 3,000 square metres of wooded grounds and then unwind with a drink in the saloon bar. The Le Lautrec restaurant serves a range of traditional French dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and opens onto a terrace during summer. The hotel houses two meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 50 people. Multilingual staff on the 24-hour front desk can arrange dry-cleaning and laundry services, advise on sights and attractions in the surrounding area and provide room service. Motorists will find complimentary parking facilities on site. The hotel is sited one kilometre from the Notre Dame de la Garde basilica, and the Palais du Pharo conference centre is four kilometres away. Marseille's main shopping boulevard, the Canebiere, and the Viuex Port, the largest harbour in France, are both three kilometres from the hotel. Marseille Provence Airport is 30 kilometres away, approximately 30 minutes by car.

A shuttle-bus service runs every 20 minutes between the airport and Marseille Saint Charles railway station. Trains connect Marseille Saint Charles and Vieux Port, from where the no. 61 bus runs to the hotel. A car is recommended for exploring the Provence region. Two metro (subway) lines cross the city. Metro 1 links eastern suburbs to north-eastern suburbs via the old port. Metro 2 takes a North-South route. The lines intersect at SNCF St Charles, the main railway station, and Castellane. Efficient bus and tram services also operate in the city.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the Autoroute du Littoral A55. Take the Vieux Port exit and follow signs to La Plage.
