Location. The Sokos Hotel Torni is located in Helsinki, Finland, within one kilometre of the Kaivopuisto marina and wharf. The central train station is 300 metres away.
Hotel Features. Housed in a Kyllikki building, this city hotel features an Art Nouveau exterior and Art Deco interior. There is a restaurant, three bars, a spa, and a lounge with complimentary newspapers. Drivers can find parking nearby.

Complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily. Modern Finnish cuisine is served in the restaurant, and O'Malley's Irish bar offers pub meals, Irish coffees and drinks. The Atjelee Bar features a fine-art decor and a terrace, and cocktails can be enjoyed at the American bar.

Three conference rooms are available to business guests, and wireless Internet access is offered throughout the hotel (surcharge).

The Japanese-themed Escape Day Spa features a steam room and spa services. Guests can enjoy discounted use of the nearby fitness centre, and swimming, ice skating, and bicycle rentals are available nearby.

Guestrooms. The 152 air-conditioned guestrooms feature either Functionalist or Art Nouveau decor. Amenities include satellite television, direct- dial phones, wireless Internet access, hair dryers, and minibars.

Expert Tip. Hietalahti flea market is the largest oldest open-air flea market in Finland, and one of the most popular in Helsinki.

Distance to Sokos Hotel Torni is 21 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis from the airport to the hotel cost approximately 30 EUR. Public buses (numbers 415, 451, 519, and 615) leave for Helsinki city centre every 10-30 minutes, and cost about 3.50 EUR. Finnair city buses depart every 15-20 minutes and run until midnight daily. Single tickets cost about 5 EUR. Bus stops can be found outside both terminals. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Helsinki's public transport system (HKL) includes buses, trams, and a metro system. Most of the Metro lines run until 11.30 p.m. Tickets cost less when purchased prior to boarding. A HKL tourist ticket is available, offering unlimited travel on all forms of public transport. Ferries run from the harbour to the Suomenlinna Fortress.

Driving directions. Depart Helsinki- Vantaa Airport.
Follow the signs to Helsinki city centre.
Continue along Mannerheimintie to Simonkatu (before the Forum shopping centre).
Take the first street on the left to Yrjönkatu.
The Sokos Hotel Torni is at the beginning of Yrjönkatu.
