Location. The Sokos Hotel Albert is located in Helsinki, Finland, within 50 metres of the bohemian design district and two kilometres from the beach. The central train and bus stations are two kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This city hotel features a restaurant, café, bar, and a lounge with complimentary newspapers. There is a sauna on site, and a parking garage for drivers.

Complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily at Sokos Hotel Albert. The Ristorante Trenta offers contemporary Italian cuisine, traditional northern Italian dishes, and a list of over 100 wines. At weekends the restaurants offers a brunch of classical antipasti. Enoteca Trenta has a wine shop interior and offers light snacks, coffees and rare wines.

Meeting rooms are available to business guests, and complimentary Internet access is offered throughout the hotel.

Bicycle rentals are offered on site, and there are scooter rentals nearby. An ice skating rink, a miniature golf course, and a children's playground can be found nearby. The beach is two kilometres from the hotel, and water sports offered include swimming, water skiing, and sailing.

Guestrooms. The 95 air-conditioned guestrooms have minibars, refrigerators, international magazines, and books. Further amenities include satellite television with flat screens, direct-dial phones, complimentary wireless Internet access, and hair dryers. Decor is modern with warm earthy tones and contemporary wooden furnishings.

Expert Tip. Hietalahti flea market is the largest oldest open-air flea market in Finland, and one most popular in the city of Helsinki.

Distance to Sokos Hotel Albert is 20 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis from the airport to the hotel cost approximately 35 EUR. Public buses (numbers 415, 451, 519, and 615) leave for Helsinki city centre every 10-30 minutes, and cost about 3.50 EUR. Finnair city buses depart every 15-20 minutes and run until midnight daily. Single tickets cost about 5 EUR. Bus stops can be found outside both terminals. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Helsinki's public transport system (HKL) includes buses, trams, and a metro system. Most of the Metro lines run until 11.30 p.m. Tickets cost less when purchased prior to boarding. A HKL tourist ticket is available, offering unlimited travel on all forms of public transport. Ferries run from the harbour to the Suomenlinna fortress.

Driving directions. Depart Finavia Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
Follow the signs to Helsinki city centre.
Continue along Mannerheimintie until Erottaja.
Turn right.
Follow Bulevardi for two blocks.
Turn left for the Sokos Hotel Albert.
