Location. The Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai is located in Dubai, UAE, a kilometre from Dubai Creek and the old Bastakiya District. Jumeirah Beach and Park is five kilometres from the hotel, and Dubai Airport is 12 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This Four Points by Sheraton Downtown features a futuristic exterior with glass panelling, and a rooftop swimming pool. There is a separate children's pool, and a health club including a hot tub and sauna. Room service is available 24 hours a day, and Internet is available throughout. Complimentary newspapers and magazines are available in the warmly decorated lounge.

The Eatery restaurant serves continental buffet meals and an a la carte buffet menu, all day. Snacks and drinks are available in the lobby lounge, the Family Room, and the poolside bar.

The hotel offers two meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 30 persons.

The hotel operates a shuttle bus to Jumeirah Beach and Park, five kilometres from the hotel. Water sports available there include boating, jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling and windsurfing. Snowboarding and skiing are also offered nearby. The Dubai Golf Creek and Yacht Club can be found 10 kilometres away.

Guestrooms. The 252 air-conditioned guestrooms feature picture windows offering city views, and are decorated in warm tones of honey and terracotta, with light wooden contemporary furnishings. Amenities include satellite television, direct-dial phones, high-speed Internet access, safes, complimentary newspaper, minibars, tea and coffee facilities, and complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. Dubbed 'the shopping capital of the Middle East, Dubai is known for its souks and markets, where bargaining is essential.

Distance to Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai is 12 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Pre-paid taxis can be found at the Arrivals hall at Terminal 1, and the fare to the hotel is approximately 75 AED. Limousines can be also be hired in the Arrivals hall. Buses 44, 33, 15, 11, 2, and 4 run to the city centre every 10 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. from stations opposite Terminals 1 and 2. Buses pass near to most major hotels, and a single ticket costs 2 AED. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Public buses offer a reasonable service between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., travelling from Bur Dubai station, on Al-Ghubaiba road, and Deira bus station, near the gold souk. Buses have separate seating sections for women and men, with women typically sitting near the front. Travellers should pay the correct fare to the driver. In older parts of Dubai, small wooden motorboats cross over Dubai Creek between early morning and midnight. Air-conditioned taxis are efficient, cheap and safe, and can be pre-booked by telephone or hailed in the street.

Driving directions. Depart Dubai Airport.
Leave Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport.
Exit at Garhoud Bridge.
Follow Bur Dubai / Za'abeel sign.
Turn right on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Take a left at the second set of traffic lights(at Kuwait Street junction).
Continue along Kuwait Street.
Take the third exit on the right.
The Four Points by Sheraton Downtown is on the right- hand side.
