Welcome Piram Hotel - Roma

Location of the Hotel is close to the city center (next to main train station). But what they are sellıng with reduced price is only inner rooms. No sunlight is avaliable. If you will use the room only for sleeping, then it's fine...

Enjoyed the stay in a very friendly hotel. The reception staff were particularly good and we followed their recommendations to view many of the attractions. A toasting machine would be a good addition to the breakfast menu. The rooms were always clean and we had absolutely no complaints

3 Minutes walk from Termini Station and with a stop for the open top tour bus literally on the door step the location of this hotel couldn't have been better. I found the reception staff very welcoming and helpful with directions etc. The room was spacious and clean with the unexpected added bonus of a jaquzzi in the bathroom! Breakfast was a bit limited with only sweet things as an option but for the price we wouldn't complain.

The staff was very helpful and the rooms were attractive and comfortable (yes, there was air conditioning!). Near the central train station, which was convenient and walking distance to the Coliseum and most other sites. The only downside was that there was no wireless internet.

The staff at this hotel were friendly, informative and extremely caring. The only thing that keeps this hotel from getting 100% from me was the horrible water pressure! We had family members in a different room and they did not face the same problem, so it may be a hit or miss. The breakfast is very simple and consists of sweet rolls and coffee which may not suit all tastes. Otherwise, the hotel was great and I would definitely recommend!

The hotel was clean and safe. It was close to the train station (about a block away). We had a good-sized room, but nothing extravagant. The room was quiet. Breakfast was very limited. Our room was good-sized with old-fashioned decor. The staff was very helpful and gave several recommendations for restaurants and transportation. They stored our luggage on the day we left. We would stay there again.

The hotel was very clean & comfortable & the staff could not have been any more helpfull. The location was great & everything was within walking distance or a short tube ride away. our only criticsm would be like other reviews before, is the continental breakfast which was very poor unless you like bread & jam or cake. The air conditioning was on constantly & could not be controlled from our room but as we visited in July when it was 34 degrees plus it was very welcome.

This hotel is in an excellent location, 2 minutes from the main bus/train station, and walking distance from most major attractions. Staff were friendly and room was very clean. However, our air conditioning unit was not adjustable and the room was very hot, reported to staff but they were slow to respond and unable to fix. The walls seemed very thin and we could hear the conversations in the next room all night. Breakfast was also disappointing.

We chose the hotel for its convenient location and good reviews (except for the time it was closed) and were not disappointed. The room was well sized, well equipped, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable (people who don't like it might find it a bit hard). Don't expect too much from the breakfast. The personnel tried to offer a friendly and attentive service, however, I now understand how some of the "bad review situations" occurred. On check-in some personal data was missed and we were called at 2 am (!) after returning home to complete it. Even if it is clear that the customer is still awake, I expect something like this to wait for the morning.

If you aren't looking for luxury and just would like a hotel with clean, well-kept basic amenities, this is an excellent choice. I had a private, hardwood floors, king size bed, plenty of towels and soap for my 2 days, and a historic building. The staff are friendly, especially the woman I checked in with. They all know some English and, if you are patient and articulate yourself clearly, are able to help with most any problems. Slightly odd location, very close to the Termini Station, which is good and bad. Good because of proximinity to the station, metro, end of most bus lines, etc; bad because the street running along the station is very shady, and I was hassled a few times. However, once you get past the station, it almost instantly changes and becomes noticely better. Breakfast (typical European breakfast of pasties, yogurt, coffee, etc) included/unlimited. Highly recommended for travelers looking to see the sites and just need a comfortable hotel to spend the night in. Had problems with the electronic key, gave me a physical key instead. Wi-fi is EXTREMELY expensive (10Euro for an hour, 17Euro for a day with limited bandwidth), especially considering many hotels provide complimentary wi-fi. Regardless, definitely recommended.

We loved our stay at the Welcome Piram Hotel--although we actually got put in a room "next door" at Hotel Nizza. I'm not sure how that worked, but we were still satisifed! The location near the Termini (bus station and metro) was perfect! We also were very satisifed with the size of our room and the staff--excellent English and very helpful with directions and information. We would gladly stay here again!

The hotel was in a good location close to the city center and metro stations. The room was what we expected with decent beds. We did have a little problem with our shower draining and had to ask them a few times to fix it before they did, but in the end they did fix it. Our room had nice working air conditioning but did hear a complaint from another guest saying their air conditioning was not working. They had a nice new elevator, which was great and a good breakfast in the morning that was included. Overall the hotel was good for the money and if I ever go back to Rome and need a similar hotel I would stay here again.

I have to say I was very impressed by the room size and the decor of the room. It absolutely blew me away. It is a 7 minute walk from the train station. There was construction going on outside the hotel. The air conditioner did not very well the first 4 nights and on the 5th night it did not work at all. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, they just shrugged it off. The location of the hotel is less than desirable from the major sites. I recommend looking for something that is closer to the major sites. A good location would near the panatheon which is in walking distance to a lot of the sites from there.

Excellent hotel for 3 star rating but breakfast was disappointing.

This hotel is located two blocks from the main train station (Termini). It's also conveniently located a block from the main artery of Rome - Via Cavour - which takes you to all the main eateries and Roman attractions. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgable and fluent in English. The hotel is a beautifully restored antique building. The hotel also provides a great complimentary continental breakfast. The room was more spacious than most European hotels with a good size ceiling and room to walk around without feeling cramped.

I had a great experience at the Welcome Piram Hotel. The staff was extremely helpful; providing directions around the Rome, recommending restaurants and even offering suggestions on the best times to visit the many sights of Rome. This was great as it helped us avoid having to wait in line all day. Breakfast was ok, typical spread for European hotels (breads, pastries, yogurt, coffee and juice). The location was excellent, just a couple of short blocks from the train station, it was far enough to avoid the chaotic noise but close enough to be able to carry luggage without a cab. It's also very easy to navigate around the city, just about 20 minutes walk to most of Rome's sites! Our room was also nice. As with most European hotels it was simply designed, but the bed was comfy and the bathroom was huge! Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfy, relaxing and well situated stay in Rome.

Great hotel just a short walk from the train station and most of the historical sites are within walking distance with the metro just across the road to take you to all the places of interest.Rooms kept very clean and staff very helpful as to where to go and what to see.

It was easy to get to all of Rome sights. Desk staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast staff were very unfriendly. Breakfast was adequate

The Hotel was just ok for the price, but only if you don't mind very uncomfortable furniture. The beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows were the same. There was no place to sit other than 2 hard wood chairs. We stayed 3 nights and the only reason we didn't check out was we had so much luggage we didn't want to move it. We were very tired we thought we could sleep on rocks, but after the first night when no one could sleep we thought for sure the 2nd night would be better due to over tired. (that didn't happen) It was hot we asked how to controll the AC they told us to open a window. The TV was set to a low volume that we could hardly hear, no way to turn it up. The lobby furniture was old and uncomfortable and they had no services. It looked like a possible make shift bar but there was no one ever there. We just stayed out as late as we could then went to our rooms. Spend your money some place eles...

The hotel provided a good base in a decent location close to Termini station. Room was very clean and well maintained during our 4 night stay. The shower was powerful and needed after tramping around Rome each and every day. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The price paid was very reasonable for a decent sized room, so overall it was good VFM. The negatives? Breakfast - choices were limited to say the least - yoghurts, plain bread with butter and jams, ultra sweet croissants and a selction of cakes and sweet looking tarts. Drinks were provided by machine - coffee wasn't good and so were juices - again very sweet. I had four days of yoghurts and bread and jam but in fairness the rates for the hotel were very good, so on balance I didn't think this was the end of the world. Another complaint I'd read about the hotel was limited choice of TV chammels, predominantly italian. Well yes it's true but it is Italy and if you're going to Rome to watch tele you may as well stay at home! I've also read comments about the area not being too salubrious as it's near the the train station and in fairness it is a decent walk to some sites but on the plus side your close to the metro to get to the vatican and there are buses to all the main sites too. Plus taxis are pretty reasonable and you can walk from the station to the hotel easily if your coming via train from the airport, which I would recommend.

It's hard to find this hotel for the first time even its location was 3 minutes walk from the Termini station. Because the exterior of the hotel did not stand out. Breakfast was poor. Just breads, cereals and beveradges. Suite room was commodious and its width is the only thing that I could feel cozy.

Hotel staff is helpful and speaks excellant English. They have convenient baggage storage for early arrivers as well as a restroom off the main lobby. It is on a quiet street near the train station. Breakfast is adequate but Italian version of fast food and the coffee not up to PAR. Great reasonably priced food around the corner on Via Amedeo at Trattoria Fulvimari.

My friend and I stayed at the Welcome Piram for 3 nights in Feb this year. For the small amount we paid we were pleasantly surprised. We had a large airy room and a large bathroom with a walk in showeer and Jacuzzi bath. The breakfasts were basic but completely adequate. The staff were all very helpful. My only criticism was the bath - which was leaking and not replaired for the remainder of our stay. The hotel location near the Termini station was very convenient. Overall an excellent bargain break hotel.

Outside wasnt too appealing, lobby was ok, but the rooms were a surprise! Large, light, nice colors, huge bath and tub! Front desk suggested a hotel just down the street at the corner! A wonderful freindly place..great food and vino! A little further from the Collesseum than advertised, but still walkable

This hotel went above and beyond my expectations. This price was incredible and the location, even better. The hotel is situated just a block and a half from Termini Station, the gateway for transport to anywhere in Rome. The hotel was under construction; however, the work did not interfere with our stay. There were a few minor inconveniences, though. The hotel currently did not have its wi-fi network up and running due to the construction. Also, the hotel is unlisted in the phone directory, might be important to take care of that. Overall, the hotel was wonderful. I will stay there anytime I decide to return to Rome. My little secret.

The staff were veryy friendly, the room was an excellent si\e, and the proximity to the central station (Termini) was very handy. The fact you are near the tube is great for seeing the major tourist destinations in Rome and the tube itself is good value and tubes are probably more frequent than in London. The only downside to this hotel was that on two of our five days there the showers were just luke warm. This aside I would recommend this hotel to all.

The hotel is conveniently placed within 10 minutes walk of Roma Terminal (30 minute train journey direct from Fiumicino Airport). Though fairly non-descript from the outside (there is no marquee or plaque announcing it's name/presence), it is actually rather lovely inside. However my visit was far from perfect. When I'm not out I like to settle down to some English news, but the TV wasn't working so eventually I was moved to another room. This room was 3 floors higher, but in fairness was superior on the surface. However their was a problem with the bathroom door (closing it was easy, opening it again required a lot of effort) and the shower was leaky so the lack of pressure meant the water dribbled out. Breakfast wasn't great either. However despite the failings the stay was pleasant. I'd have been even happier had a few maintenance issues been dealt with

Great location. Near termini so trips from airport and metro access readily available. Should not be 3 stars. Can get same value from a lot 2 stars hotels near Termini. Arrived early from transatlantic flight. Although check in is at 1:30, room was not ready until 2pm. Comfortable couches in the main hall to snore at leisure. Internet not working. TV not working. Safe box could only be opened with a knife (according to staff, door was too "heavy" for the box...) Of course, I had to take the two elevators down to get the knife as it was all my fault that I decided to use the safe. Breakfast was included but coffee was far from good. It is hard to make bad coffee in Italy but they achieved it. If you want an overpriced 2 star hotel, this is for you. If you want a good 3 star hotel...please stay away.

Very nice hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. Was impressed by the quality of the room and the entire hotel compared to the price we paid. Only comment is on the breakfast, very Italian i.e. very sweet with cakes and pastry as the main item.

we loved are stay at the hotel it was lovely very close to station and with in walking distance of bars and restaurants. the staff where helpfull and friendly the rooms clean and well laid out the breakfast was a bit limited with no cheese or meat but got enough to keep you happy.the only thing a bit hard to find the print out was a bit confusing and no clear sign outside the hotels minor detail loved our stay and would go back tomorrow

When price is a consideration- this is the perfect hotel to stay at. You won't find a better place in Rome for the rate. Location was great for getting from place to place. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean, well decorated, spacious, even the breakfast was good (american basic hotel breakfast- great chocolate filled donuts- if you get there early:-)There are several fantastic places to eat just outside the hotel entrance. The central public transportation center is just one block over- where the two subway lines cross which is really nice! I felt completely safe walking around and the vaulted 10-12 foot ceilings in the room were very nice.

I was a bit concerned about the hotel after reading reviews, but I always take reviews of European hotels with a grain of salt. I'm glad I did. I was really pleased with this hotel. We had a double room for 2 singles. Yes, you will have a twin size bed, but keep in mind you are not in the US. The bed was definitely firm, but that is my preference anyway. The rooms were nicely sized, not huge, but plenty of room. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was nice, again not oversized, but it serves it's purpose. Also very clean. The showers had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. I went in March, so I can't comment on air-conditioning. Breakfast was satisfactory, I never had any complaints. Sweet rolls, bread, biscuits, jelly, butter, nutella, coffee, yogurt, juice - I mean it's a continental breakfast. As far as safety - a lot of people will tell you the area around Termini is "bad". These people have clearly never been in a "bad" neighborhood. If you're from any major city in the US, the threat the "gypsies" pose is laughable. They mostly just want to sell you junk/flowers. Just say no and keep walking. I imagine in summer there is a bigger issue with pickpocketing, but this is true all over Rome. I felt as safe/safer here than I do in some of the nicer areas of Chicago at night. Obviously you are in a foreign country and need to keep your guard up, just be smart, keep your belongings close and you'll be fine. My one complaint is the phones. No one in the hotel seems to know how they work. I figured it out myself after pushing a bunch of buttons (0*) and used my phone card. Turns out, "Phone cards don't work in the hotel". Well, they do, but they'll charge you for using the phone anyway. There are plenty of pay phones, just use your phone card there. I would def return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking to get a good value.

The hotel was great, the room was comfortable, great bathroom, excellent linnens. The location is a little bit farther than other hotels, but really close to the train station so getting to and from the airport was easy. Sometimes the elevator wasn't working, but only a couple of days. The breakfast was ok, we ate at a cafe on the corner a few times though... it was excellent and convenient. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There wasn't any internet when we stayed. They mentioned getting internet soon though. Overall a great experience, I would recommend it and would stay there again.

Nice hotel just a couple complaints...double bed consisted of two single beds pushed together and tied up with plastic bags, we asked to move rooms but they are all like this. Also the room was very hot and it took 5 requests for them to turn the heating down as it's controlled by reception. Bathroom was good and room was clean. Also a great location to reach all the sites and 5 minutes from the train station.

*the room was above our expectations for a 3 star hotel, newly renovated and very spacious ! *the brekkie was ok ..consisted of dounats, crossiants, bread, cereals, yogurt and jam. no toaster but the coffe machine was great! *the staff were friendly and helpful *its very a very central location ..jst a minute away from termini station! however it was hard to find at night as the dooor is shut , you have to buzz in and the signage is very small so you really have to keep an eye out for it! *the hotel was being renovated so facilities such as the gym, internet and pool werent avaiable but did not matter as there is so much to explore in rome!

Hotel Piram has been one of the best experiences I have had with any hotel. And I say this without exaggeration. Not having been to Rome at all, the staff went out of their way to ensure we had all the help we needed, bus times, how to get to a specific place etc. Even when I was stuck and needed the internet to check an urgent email, the staff let me quickly use their computer. The room was always lovely and warm (visited Rome in January) and there was always a hot shower. The most powerful shower I have ever used. My only qualms with the hotel was the breakfast. It is included in the affordable price, but was not very tasty. In fact on the day of my departure I noticed I was eating less of it than I had at the start. Aside from that do not be put off by the hotel as you will receive a warm and kind welcome!

Great location! very close to Termini Station. large room and bathroom, very clean. breakfast is ok, just like typical complimatory breakfast you see in American hotels. 90 years old lift runs very smoothly.

Room decorated nice, it had TV, Fridge, Small safe, clean towels & sheets every day. Negative side no iron or trouser press in room, no bar downstairs. The main bus station is only 1 block away which is ideal to reach every popular site across the city. There?s a small shopping mall in the bus / train station. There are some good restaurants around the hotel .

Hotel generally very good, great location. Train, metro and bus stations all nearby. Breakfast shocking definitely needs improved. Good value for money and ideal for a city break, would go back.

The location was great!!! A block away from the metro, in the center of town. The air conditioning was like a fan, and it was extremely hot during my stay. I had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the room when the elevator was not working. Never received a wake up call. The beds are twin, but the room looked beautiful. As we were leaving they blamed the problems on ownership, stating, "the hotel is closing today, new management" they could not hold our luggage as we went for a bite to eat.
