My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at the Marmara Pera, and were very happy with it. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous and the hotel was very clean. The room was a good size and comfortable as well, and the location was great - minutes walk away from Istikal street (main street in Istanbul), minutes away from tons of restaurants, right accross the road from a taxi rank and less than 10 minutes by taxi over to the old section of the city. The rooftop pool and bar/lounge are great, excellent views and comfy couches to hang out on! My only recommendations is that the rooftop bar is VERY expensive!!! Have one drink to enjoy the view and then head into town where the drinks are less than half the price :) overall great stay though.

The Marmara Pera is very well located, 2 mins from Tunel and 10 min walk from Taksim, where most of the nightlife is. It's also a 15 minute walk to the Galata Bridge The staff was very helpful and friendly - everyone spoke English. And the room was lovely and very clean. There is a small gym with enough equipment and a small rooftop swimming pool with lots of big sofas to make it very comfortable. I will definitely go back to this hotel on my next stay in Istanbul.

Exceptional restaurant in the hotel on the top floors. Nu Pera restaurant, and Pera Museum less than 100 meters from the hotel. Taxis available around the clock at the taxi stand immediately adjacent to the hotel. Pleasant hotel staff always helpful answering any questions. I am sure that there are better rooms in Istanbul for the money, but this place didn't disappoint when all factors considered.

Great hotel especially for the price. About 10 min taxi ride from the major sites, but extremely easy to find a taxi and not very expensive. The hotel is near many places to eat and drink.

At present the ancient Pera Palace hotel, and another building, are having a complete refurb and as the laws of noise are quite loose in Turkey the angle grinders and jack hammers start as early as 7.30am. So İ am not sure why the hotel staff seem surprised when you have the temerity to ask for a quieter room. İndeed we had to move 3 times in 4 days. So when you check in make sure to ask for a quiet room (although İ have to admit İ had even included this request in an email direct to the hotel before i even got there(..

This hotel is a sure bet if you are looking for service, quality and a place to relax. The roof top pool is small but just right for lounging. As a matter of fact, that is what I'd say about the hotel - not too much, not too little, everything was just right.

This hotel was used to accommodate guests for a wedding from Britain and was recommended to us. We stayed 5 nights and found the hotel to be very clean.The food from room service was good but a bit slow to arrive.The room rate was without breakfast and from what other guests told us breakfast was expensive and not worth the money. Our room was very small and that was for a superior room on the 10th floor. The roof pool is very small. If you are height challenged you will find this hotel excellent. There are three lifts which seem to be in constant use so getting between floors is a chore. The area is good for bars and restaurants and I recommend The Montreal Bar about 100 metres away. Go behind the hotel and turn left up the hill it's on the right. All in all a very clean hotel in a very good location with a taxi rank right outside..

This hotel is located in fun filled Beyoglu area. There are many restaurants, bars, shops etc. Hotel is well maintained, and very clean. Free wi-fi is a great bonus. Only downside is the 20euro ($26) breakfast buffet, which is normally free with all European hotels. Highly recommended!

Marmara pera Hotel is where we never forget cuz we had very good memories over there. First of all make sure that u ask the taxi driver to take u to marmara PERA not marmara cuz they are different ones!! the location of the hotel was perfect. it was close(2mins walk) to all the night-clubs and good bars and the famous Istiklal avenue. also 5 mins to Taksim square. The service of the hotel was really good, and the room was very clean and nice exactly what u see in hotel pictures. well, i would say everything was very pleasing overall. n i would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!! n hope u have as much fun as we had!!!! x

It is ideally located on the famous Istiklal Street,walking distance to Taksim Square. We were able to take the public transportation to Sultanahment to visit the historic sites. We wanted the hotel to be close to the night life as we were able to get around easy during daytime.

This is a great hotel.

Of the many hotels I've stayed at in Istanbul, this has to be one of the best. Great location (shops, boats, etc), amenities (esp the exercise room & free wifi), and view of the Bosphorus. My only complaint is the smallness of the room. But the room was very nice and modern.

If you are going to Istanbul to do sightseeing and have fun, this is one of the best places to stay... Room - Very clean, contemporary Service - All can speak english and they seemed to me that they are more than happy to help you with any issue. All is very kind as well. Towels - Linens - Clean. But towels could have smelt better, that's just my opinion. * Exchange currency rate was lower, to be honest too low.

We picked the room with a spectacular view on Bosphorus. The room was a bit small though but very clean. Very good value for money.

modern, clean, good service, great view, convenient

The location is superb. I admit i had a lovely view of both the city and the bosphorus (room 1101). The hotel staff were not well trained. No smiles, hardly no eye contact and i felt more welcomed by the doorman.. but as an ex hotel manager maybe i look at the details a bit too much. I admit i did not use all the facilities available like the restaurant (which has great views) and the pool. I thought it was also a little pricey for what you get but then the location is ideal.

L'albergo è carino ma non risponde alle immagini pubblicate, avrebbe bisogno di una bella ristrutturazione rispetto ai prezzi applicati. E' meglio scegliere una camera con vista Bosforo, non è grande ma nè vale la pena. La sua posizione è eccellente, a due passi da via Istikal e Pizza Takism, zona Beyoglu. All'attico dell'albergo c'è una terrazza con open bar e una piscina...anzi una vasca piccola, piccola...ottimo il panorama. Se volete utilizzare il ristorante, si mangia bene e il panorama lascia senza fiato...non troppo economico!!

Ingen tvekan om att det är ett fyrstjärnigt hotell. Bra service, rent, snyggt och bra. Luftkonditioneringen tystgående och utsikten över Gyllene Hornet och Bosporen magnifik. Nära till Istiklan och det bästa restaurangområdet. Minus: även på ett litet lyxigare hotell borde personalen ha lite koll på kollektivtrafiken. De fattade ingenting när vi frågade var buss/spårvagn gick ifrån för att ta sig ner till Blå moskén. "Taxi" var första svaret, "sightseeingbuss" det andra. För övrigt var det en fin promenad ner till den moderna spårvagnen som gick till Sultanhamet, var man trött kunde man ta tunnelbanan till spårvagnen. Enkelt och billigt med pollettsystem.

Hotellet har en meget fin beliggenhet i byen, har høy standard, høyt service-nivå, og en fin og rolig atmosfære. Ekstra pluss for en bar m/pool på taket, med glimrende utsikt til byen.

- very friendly staff - room cleanliness could be better (it's a 4 star hotel...!) - but nothing critical (windows dirty, some dust, etc.) - interior design of rooms & café meets expectations - fitness room provides 5 devices (2 treadmills) and some dumbbells (1-25 kg) - extras (minibar, laundry) overpriced - best roofterrace in town for a break during daytime (closes at 5 pm) -> never overcrowded, spectacular views! - situated in one of I's main shopping and entertainment districts (-> also results in a constant level of noise even with windows closed)

Marmara pera ligger mitt i händelsernas centrum i Istanbul. Ett stenkast bort från Huvudgatan Istiklal där merparten av affärerna ligger. Nära hotellet finns också många mysiga bargator och urtypiska turkiska restauranger. Det tar cirka 40 minuter att promenera till den historiska delen av staden Sultanahmet. Jag skulle starkt rekommendera Marmara pera till andra resenärer.

Very good hotel in a nice area (Taksim).

Σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία για αξιοθέατα και ψυχαγωγία. Υπηρεσίες πολύ ικανοποιητικές. Μόνο που οι υπάλληλοι δεν γνωρίζουν καλά αγγλικά στην πλειοψηφία τους με αποτελεσμα να δυσχαιρένεται η επικοινωνία.

Hotellet var rent och fräscht, trevlig och serviceinriktad personal samt en underbar utsikt av Istanbul. Det enda som jag kan tänka mig som ej var positivt med hotellet är att det ligger ca 5-10 minuters taxiresa ifrån de största och mest kända sevärdheterna i Istanbul (då det finns andra hotell som är belägna alldeles intill dessa sevärdheter).

alles was goed , behalve dat de badkamer wel aan de krappe kant was ben zelf niet zo groot maar had er zelf wat moeite mee, voor de rest een goede hotel met goede service , en zeer centraal dicht bij openbaar vervoer en bezienswaardigheden... ps ze mogen de kamers wat vaker stofzuigen.. zeker aanrader

Vi bodde på sjuttonde våningen med fantastisk utsikt över Istanbul. Frukostbuffén var bra och gedigen och hotellets personal mycket uppmärksam.

This is a nice hotel for vacation. The location is perfect with a lot of shopping, and entertainment just around the corner. If you are lucky and gets a room above the 6th floor, there is a fantastic view over Istanbul. It’s also clean and still fresh. There is a good gym, but only an outdoor pool that is closed during the winter season. The rooms are small, too small and there is no designated space for working. The free internet connection lives its own life with a lot of disconnections. Therefore I can´t recommend it for business. There is a business center, but it’s not to impressing. The bathrooms are also too small. A tall person or a little oversized person will have problem to fit in to the bathtub, which also contains the shower. Keep away from the mini bar, the prices are ridicules with over $ 3 for a small bottle of water. Sorry to say that his also reflects for the lobby bar that charge about $4 for a cup of coffee machine coffee. Breakfast is OK, but don’t expect any extravagance. No beacon (Muslim country). Don’t hesitate to choose it for vacation due the location and freshness, but don’t have to high expectations.

Flott hotel. Dyr service. god betjening. Flott inredning. Rommene kunne vært større, men flotte og stilfulle.

Het was een goed hotel met goed personeel. Wel vond ik het ontbijt wat minder. Daar bedoel ik dan mee, dat er weinig keus was.

This hotel is perfectly situated near the shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the service outstanding. The bathroom was a little small, but the bed large and comfortable. Could not have wished for anything better.

Buon albergo, camere senza vista più grandi di quelle con vista. Buon servizio in camera, molto ospitali. Unica pecca di non poco conto il fortissimo odore di fogna che saliva dal bagno. Abbiamo dovuto chiedere di cambiare camera, cosa che ci hanno fatto fare la sera successiva perché l'albergo era pieno.
