Hotel Ruetli - Zürih

centrally located, within walking distance of station, good breakfast buffet , friendly atmosphere

Booked a twin bedded room. As a courtesy to the hotel, we e-mailed them 48hours in advance to advise of our arrival time & confirming the two bed requirement. Arrived to find we a has a single double bed, with no other rooms available. The room was on the first floor above the hotel entrance. It was stuffy & hot with no aircon. The street was noisy 24 hours a day, so window could not be left open. No wardrobe, just a rail with 5 coat hangers. No drawers or cupboards either. Duvet that did not even fit the bed. Pillows that provided zero head / neck support. Breakfast ends at 10am, by 930am there is next to nothing left. The only good thing about this hotel is its location, very near to the main station, central tram stops, the river & the old town. Would not stay here again. They also charged a 15CHF city tax on departure, although my invoice from Hotels.com says all taxes & fees are paid for.

Excellent choice for location - easy walk from the train station. Free computer access in the lobby is a plus. Ask for an inside room to avoid traffic noise, especially in warm weather when you want to have the windows open. Attentive, efficient, friendly staff. Generous buffet breakfast. After three stays I am happy to go back again.

Nice location very close to the very charming old parts of the town. Service very limitied ie no room service etc but staff very friendly.

A nice hotel near the train station in Zurich. The room was very small but ok for a single person. Beware that it has no air conditioning and the room gets hot during summer afternoons.

Good hotel for the special price we managed to find. location is great as it is close to everything. Does get a little loud in the evening to early night hours. Most of the staff was good and accomodating. The breakfast was good and we could also pack some food when we had an early departure from the hotel - an absolute plus especially if you have kids.

The Rutli is a great value hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff nice, and the breakfast excellent. They even gave us chocolate Easter bunnies when we checked out! The also had free internet in the lobby which was useful. I couldn't think of a reason not to recommend this hotel.

This hotel was what I expected. The price was somewhat reasonable for the high prices in town. As other reviews have said, it is in the "bar-town" part of the city. The hotel is close to the tram and rail system, it's a great location. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful in planning mini tours of the city. The cleaning staff was slightly sub-par. They were slow in cleaning the room, upon checking-in my room was still not ready. All in all the hotel served it's purpose. But it's not like those on the other side of the river.

The Hotel Ruetli occupies a great location in Zurich...very handy to Old Town and the Main Station as well as a central tram hub.There are cafes and a grocery store nearby and Bahnhofstrasse is just a short walk away. My room was Spartan but clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was helpful. I would stay there again on a future visit to Zurich.

This hotel is very conveniently located to the main train station and near the main shopping/tourist areas in Zurich. It was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great.

I have stayed in Zurich before, but not in the heart of the old town. Big, clean, new room, within walking distance of anything of worth. Parking can be a problem, but if you are not driving or just passing through for a night or two, highly recommended.

Excellent small style European Hotel. Located in the Old Town within a short walking distance from the attractions the city has to offer.

Zürich ist eine teuere Stadt; wenn sich das Hotel in einer einigermassen guten Lage befindet, wirds teuer. Dieses Hotel bietet einen bezahlbaren Preis in einer super Lage. Hotel befindet sich am Central, ca. 5 Min. Gehweg zum Bahnhof und die berühmte Bahnhofstrasse (Shopping!). Hier ist man mitten in der Altstadt (Abend Aktivitäten!) von guten Restaurants und Bars umgeben. Der Staff ist zuvorkommend und höfflich, das Hotel ist sauber und in gutem Zustand. Falls auch der Abflug sich als später am Abreisetag erweist, gibt es in diesem Hotel entweder die Möglichkeit das Zimmer zu "verlängern" oder das Gepäck im Hotel Obhut zu lassen. Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen!

aufgrund der lage nahe des bahnhofs und der altstadt rechts der limat ist das hotel rüttli für alle, die zürich erkunden wollen, eine ideale adresse. die zimmer sind sehr nüchtern eingerichtet, fast spartanisch, es gibt keinen schrank, in dem man seine siebensachen legen könnte. die zweite bettdecke, um die wir gebeten hatten, bekamen wir allerdings prompt. überhaupt ist der service gut, exzellent und sehr freundlich die betreuung beim frühstück.

Tolle zentale Lage, trozdem sehr ruhig in der Nacht Sehr nettes Personal,gutes Frühstück. Einzige Kritik : nur eine Decke im DZ für 2 Personen und diese war auch nicht ausreichend.Es war zu spät um eine zweite zu verlangen.Ansonsten toll!!!!!

Assurdo pagare questi prezzi per catagorie di hotel così bassi. L'albergo dovrebbe essere catalogato 2 stelle ed essere molto molto meno caro.

ein kleines zweckmäßiges preiswertes sauberes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal Super gelegen um die Stadt zu erkunden in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Bahnhof Limmat Uni Kein Luxus

Sehr nettes Stadthotel mitten in der Altstadt von Zürich. Vom Bahnhof aus in drei Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehenswürdigkeiten und Läden in nächster Nähe. Alles bestens.
