Hotel Sternen Oerlikon - Zürih

Checked in, went to the room and found it to be a smoking room with a very bouncy floor. Asked to change rooms and hotel responded right away. Put us in a room set up as a single. Had to request pillow and towels. Again, staff was very responsive to request. Don't expect to find much in the way of meals in the neighborhood on a Sunday evening, but we worked around that. Even with the little inconveniences, we'd stay here again, especially if flying out through Zurich. Quick airport access.

Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Ideal location near train station and bus and tram routes. Rooms clean and well furnished. Breakfast buffet was good and hotel restaurant has comprehensive menu and good value. Will definitely return to the Hotel Sternen

The Hotel Sternen met our expectations for our stay. It is only a few blocks from the Zurich-Oerlikon train station and the tram stops right outside of the hotel. One thing we didn't expect was the european style bathroom, where there is no shower stall, but rather just a curtain that pulls around to separate the shower from the toilet and sink. It wasn't bad, just not what we were expecting. I think the bathroom set-up depends on the specific room, however. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and all desk reception workers spoke English. The adjoining restaurant was decent. We ate there twice...the first time we were about the only ones eating, but the second time the place was packed.

Very close to public transport (trains/trams), within easy reach o Zurich airport, rooms are clean and comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and friendly. I'm very pleased I decided to stay here.

When you walk into the hotel all you smell is smoke. I requested a non-smoking room and it too smelled badly of smoke. When I requested to move to a non-smoking room they gave me air freshner. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. If you need a decent night in Zurich, you can't beat the price.

Great location, exceptionally clean, warm, friendly and helpful people.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. A little noisy due to very thin walls. Front desk staff was very friendly. Not so much going on in Oerlikon itself. Only a few restaurants/cafes and very little shopping. Fortunately, it was a 5 minute walk to the Oerlikon train station, which is only a 10 minute ride (2 stops) into downtown Zurich (Zurich HB). Tram and train system in Zurich was very good so being a little further away was not a problem at all.

Hotel was great, front desk receptionist spoke very good English, rooms weren't huge but they were clean. Bathrooms were small if you a larger person you may feel uncomfortable in them. Hotel was 3 or 4 blocks from the train station, close to shopping and not to far from other attractions. Overall I was very satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again.

Excellent location in the center of Oerlikon, 5 minute walk to train station. Room was very comfortable and very clean. The bed and pillow were outstanding. Good breakfast and friendly staff. "Good value for the money." The best deal (price to value) in the Zurich area, comparing to other hotels.

Bathroom had a mildew smell, breakfast was too expensive, room was too hot,and traffic too loud. The best part of the stay was leaving there.

A high standard hotel convienently located by a tramline with direct access to city centre. Also very close to a train station for quick convenient access to both city centre and airport. However, breakfast was overpriced.

The hotel is situated in clean suburb Oerlikon at a street with some decent restaurants and shops and with superb connections to city, airport, railway stations and conference centre. Newly decorated and modern. Large breakfast room, where the single rooms are somewhat small. Clean and simple interior. Small bathroom. Regular services and not more than one might expect from a hotel focussed on business people. Handy for tourist due to the direct tram line from the airport and the central station.

Sono stato molto contento perchè adiacene all'albergo vi è pure il ristorante, la colazione molto abbondante, e tutti molto gentili

Naja, ich hab schon besser übernachtet. Das Hotel war günstig und das deckt sich dann auch mit dem Gesamteindruck - aber zumindest wars funktional, alles hat funktioniert - aber mehr eben auch nicht! Charming is something different

l'hotel è situato fuori dal centro ma molto vicino a tutto ciò che può servire, anche alla fermata del tram e ad una stazione ferroviaria secondaria. Benchè modesto è carino, pulito e piuttosto economico rispetto agli altri prezzi visti su internet.

Hotel Sternen Oerlikonis a excellent hotel, very convenient placed with respect to Zürich Airport (Kloten) and even down town Zürich because of good tram connection (Line 14) to Zürich Main Station (Hauptbahnhof). It could also be inside walking distance (approx. 3.5 km) if weather permitting Definitely value for money

Mi sono trovata davvero bene, le camere sono davvero graziose e confortevoli, pulizia eccellente e soprattutto in posizione ottima, pochissima distanza dal centro.
