Club Quarters, Wacker at Michigan - Chicago

The location was perfect; within walking distance to all the shopping and night life. The room was not as small as others had mentioned; plenty of room for 2 of us! Spotlessly clean! I would definitely recommend it to anybody, perfect for the price. Discounted parking was nice bonus!

The hotel itself is nice, standard hotel room. I can't say there's anything spectacular about it but it's a solid place to stay in the heart of downtown, and for the price the location is great. I do want to say that they went out of their way to help us out. We landed very early AM and the hotel was happy to let us check-in essentially getting almost an extra night for free. We checked in before 7am and had a room all ready and waiting. Slept and went out, coming back ot find our room serviced. Wow! So nice. Would definitely stay here again just as thanks for that.

We have stayed here twice now. Both times the rooms were just a little too small. Paid a little too much for the room, but it ws summer and we needed it and it was a good location for us.

I normally would stay with any of the Hyatt or Marriott Hotels of Michigan Ave but I chose to try something new and the location, the qaintness of the hotel and do long hallways on my floor anyway. I felt like a diplomat. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

The room wasn't huge but it was plenty big. Had a bed, a desk and a view of river. And it was right off of Michigan Ave. I'll definitely be going back.

As others have also commented on, the rooms are indeed small, but comfortable, updated and clean. Rooms do include nice touches including microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, and chilled bottled water as well. Location is very easy is find, and within walking distance to shopping, attractions and museums. Both valet and public parking available (right next door to hotel). Security is very good, with access to guest floors restricted to those with room keys only. Only slight negative was our room only had a large shower stall instead of bath/shower combo. For a hotel right in the heart of downtown Chicago, the price is right for either an inexpensive weekend getaway, or the budget minded business traveler.

The pictures of the rooms were not accurate. The room was very very small, and the picture on the website made it seem larger than it was. Other than that, the hotel was flexible with the parking and also was thankful that they were able to store my luggage even after I checked out.

This is an excellent hotel. However, I selected it in part because it had free high-speed internet access and the problem is that the internet service was down for the first two of my three-day stay. I presume I was just unlucky and that this is a rare occurrence.

the room was small, as was the window, but for the price at that location, it was an excellent deal. the room was clean and the furniture was perfect for what i needed. i loved the free filtered water in the hall! great location right on the river and near everything.

Room service at Club Quarters arrives late and the food is often cold by the time it is delivered. The service is also chaotic when eating in the restaurant located in the hotel. Checking - in service could also be more welcoming. It was a rushed process to say the least. There could be more useful information provided within the hotel rooms regarding services, assistance, etc. Having said all that, the hotel is in an excellent location and is both very well kept and affordable.

The hotel is perfect for the business travel who wants comfort and convenience, but doesn't need the frills. The rooms have all the basics you need, including free wired and wireless Internet, desks, and convenient electrical outlets. They also provide free remote printing. The public areas include a computer room, and a lounge with desks designed for working. Staying in the tower is neat, and the views are excellent, but the rooms are very small.

The property is close to all the sites. Lobby is nice. My room was small and a bit smoky. It was acceptable though.

I try to stay here every time I come to Chicago. Centrally located and good amenities.

The hotel was in an excellent location. It was close to a lot of key things to do and see. There were also plenty of places to eat near by or within walking distance. The only downside was the room. It was somewhat clean but it was the size of a closet (standard queen bed). Very, very small. However, we did have a nice view of the river.

We loved our stay at Club Quarters. The lobby was pretty with a sitting room full of comfy chairs and books. Halls were tastefully decorated with framed black and white photographs of Chicago. Our room was very clean and cozy with a comfortable bed. But the best thing about this hotel besides the amazing price is the location. Walk out the front door and you are facing the Trump Tower, cross the street and you are at the Michigan Avenue Bridge. This is the gateway north to the Magnificent Mile, starting with the Wrigley Building and Tribune Tower. If, instead, you head 3 blocks south on Michigan Ave. you will be at Millenium Park. Club Quarters is truly at the center of attractions in downtown Chicago. We will be staying here every time we come to Chicago from now on.

Based on cost per night for surrounding hotels, the Club Quarters on Wacker at Michigan was perfect.

If you're looking for a bargain at a great location in Chicago, Club Quarters is a good bet. The room was rather small and efficient, but it was clean and comfortable and for almost 1/2 the price of hotel rooms in the same area. The location on Wacker overlooking the Chicago River between Michigan and Wabash is outstanding, and is within walking distance of most downtown attractions. The restaurant is very good and has a nice breakfast menu - it was very pleasant to sit outside, and enjoy the view.

Our stay was good overall. The room was small, but clean and had a nice view of the river. We were on the 37th floor, and when one elevator was not working, there was an extremely long wait. The bathroom sink area had very limited space. The major downside was the restaurant. We went there for breakfast. The service was poor, they ran out of coffee, and the food was lukewarm when it finally made it to the table. We did send back the toast because it was stone cold. We would stay at the hotel again for the price, but would not eat in the restaurant.

Great location. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The Parking was extremely overpriced. Overall it was a pretty good hotel.

Perfect location to all the downtown Chicago hot spots and shopping. Great service! We will stay here every time we come to Chicago. Outstanding service and cleanliness.

This location cannot be beat. We lost glasses and they've been retrieved!! Nice staff, also!

The room was fantastic, aside from the firmness of the beds. My wife and I are used to a less firm bed so we both had trouble falling asleep. I do have one major complaint though. I called a couple days ahead to ask about late checkout, and they told me it would be no problem, and that I should just ask when I check in. When I checked in, I asked for late checkout and was told that I couldn't because the hotel was at 100% capacity the following night, and was told that I should have arranged for late checkout in advance.

Effiecient room for a weekend stay in Downtown Chicago. Clean but small, excellent location and all the basics.

The hotel has a great location and comfortable beds! The rooms are very small, and the walls are thin. You can hear everything in the halls and elevators running. Overall, I would go back again due to its location and good customer service. Also, there is a bar/restaurant downstairs with excellent pizza.

This hotel is in an excellent location and just a short walk from anything that you would need in Chicago. The hotel staff is courteous and the rooms were clean. The rooms were smaller than the average room, but definitely okay to move about. The air conditioning in the room did not get very cold. Although it didn't get very cold, it still worked and provided cool air. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others. The location and friendliness of staff are worth the reasonable price for a hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago. Next time, I would just ask for a chillier air conditioner!

Cornery bakery and on-site italian restaurant very convenient. Walking distance to shops, Navy Pier, Grant Park.

You can't beat the location and convenience of this hotel for the price. It has great amenities, including its own very good restaurant with a quaint patio for watching the hustle and bustle of the city. Short walk to all that downtown Chicago has to offer.

We stayed at Club Quarters on Wacker for a wedding event. It was convenient to Mich Ave and such. The parking was great...1/2 block away and discounted rate for overnight/hotel guests. I had hoped for a higher floor, but didn't understand the whole concept of this hotel. The room was TINY, but clean and adequate. It was a quiet night's sleep too. For being downtown Chicago, it was a GREAT location, decent price, clean and adequate room. We would stay there again. If you are looking for luxury and the vacation experience, go elsewhere...but be prepared to pay a lot more too.

Very interesting, a little quirky in concept, but works very very well. I got a room on the second floor, and it was so newly renovated that someone forgot to take off the dust cover from the smoke alarm in the ceiling. (I took care of that! Always take those things off -- they keep the alarm from sensing smoke!) Room was very 'moderne' -- great wifi (hugely important to me, and it is free! thanks for that!), bathroom very good sized, nicely tiled, stand-up shower stall that was relatively spacious. Good sized armoire for clothes. Quirks: room was probably about eleven feet wide, but a *very* good length with a nice computer desk and flat panel TV in a small sitting area near the window. The bed was queen size in width, but probably no longer than 6 feet or six feet one. I am six feet one inch, so slept just a little bit crooked to make do, not really a problem. But the bed was also really two full sized beds put together with a foam divider filling in the space between the two beds to give more of a sense of only one bed -- so that was a little strange, but not really uncomfortable. The mattress was excellent. The bed situation actually worked OK even as tall as I am, though really tall guys might want to keep the slightly shorter length of bed in mind, or check out other possible bed lengths with the management before reserving. Other amenities, such as iron and ironing boards, are in guest supply closets on higher floors, but front desk simply sent a board and iron to my room and set it up while I was out -- not a problem! Long and short of it: fantastic location on Wacker Drive right at Michigan Ave., lots of eateries and shopping around, great pleasant front desk folks (thank you to all of them!), truly comfortable room, and what a great price compared to all the other downtown hotels I checked out. This place works very well, and what I first thought was a really small, quirky room was actually very very good with each passing moment I stayed in it.

Simple ammenities, nice lobby and italian restaurant in the hotel. otherwise, quite basic but with AMAZING VIEWS!
