Sofitel Chicago Water Tower - Chicago

Stayed 5 nights in Sofitel Water Tower and enjoyed every minute. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is fab. Location of the hotel is good for the Rush St/ Oak Street nightlife and just a couple of blocks from the Hancock Tower on the Magnificent Mile. We ate breakfast and dinner some days in the hotel and I would highly recommend the quality of food served here. Overall would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would return.

From start to finish and everything in between this is an exceptional hotel. Careful of grabbing a "Coke" out of the refrig as they are $5.00 each....but can be expected for the convenience.

Phenomenal experience at this hotel. 5 star service and superb rooms. Will stay again and again.

I loved everything about this hotel from the heavenly scented lobby to the soft bed and pillows. The room was really clean and I had a great veiw from the floor to ceiling window.

The Sofitel is as beautiful architecturally as any of the best buildings in Chicago, and the interior decor is sleek and stylish. Unique geometry lends to the pleasingly modern aesthetic. The rooms aren't cheap, but are worth the price: very clean and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows, well-lit bathrooms, and cozy feather beds. Very accommodating staff and well-appointed restaurant and lounge make Sofitel my new favorite hotels!

For the money, this was the best hotel I've stayed at in Chicago.

Everything about this hotel, from it's decor to the courteous staff was absolutely terrific. It's in walking distance to all the major attractions, shopping, and restaurants. I stayed there for business and was well taken care of for the entire stay. The restaurant downstairs is terrific!

Perfect location! We were able to walk to dining and easy access to all attractions and sight seeing.

Nothing but complete and total satifaction. The hotel employees and personel are there for you the customer from the time you get out of the car at the front door until you leave. Excellent!

I stayed here for three nights and had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable. The bathroom had a separate shower and tub, as well as a window. Room service was prompt and the food was well-prepared. I would recommend this property.

I brought my two sons and their girlfriends to Chicago for Lollapalooza and to visit some of the universities. I booked 3 rooms here and stayed for 5 days. I've stayed in many hotels around the world, including some of the finest 5 star hotels in London, New York, Miami, Paris, San Francisco, etc.., but I can honestly say that while the amenities and overall accommodations at the Ritz, the Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, St. Regis, etc. may have been a step above, the staff at this Sofitel was as good, if not better, than that of any of the other 5 star hotels that I have stayed in. From the reception to the concierge, and the staff around the hotel, they go out of their way to make you feel special and accommodate you. Every time I asked for something, including a change of rooms because I wanted a view of the lake, my requests were met with a smile and the staff was more than happy to grant my requests. Everyone always asked how we were doing and if there was anything that they could do for us - even when it rained the staff promptly put out umbrellas for everyone to take on the way out. I would stay here again and, although this was my first time staying at a Sofitel, it definitely will not be my last.

Great staff, location and room! Two blocks from Michigan Ave & L-Train entrance. Very quiet and it seemed as though the room was cleaned two or three times a day.

Sofitel Chicago is a fantastic hotel. We spent two weeks there and thoroughly enjoyed every moment! I highly recommend this hotel to any visitor wising to have luxury, comfort, excellent location, excellent service and a very peaceful break!!

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel...more then I expected. Our room was in a perfect location and looking out our window was the Hancock Center and the Watetower. The staff were extremely accommondating! Perfect stay, with a perfect person!

I selected this hotel based on reviews/feedback from other guests and the hotel did not disappoint. Although I was very late arriving, this was not a problem. Room was excellent and the bed extremely comfortable. If I have one minor criticism; after reading the rave reviews of the restaurant I decided to have dinner there and I have to say I was a little dissapointed. That is my one and only criticism

Upon arrival to the Sofitel, we were instantly greeted by a prompt and friendly bell valley staff. Quick early check in afforded us the opportunity to do some exploring and eats, all within a walking distance. entering into the room, we were instantly impressed with the cityscape views. Very clean and well kept room, reasonable price with a great value. Will most definatly stay again!

DON'T DRIVE YOUR OWN CAR THERE. THE PARKING IS NEARLY $50 per night. Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't get to exercise all the amenities, but the check-in/out experience was great, room was fantastic too. I missed a coffee maker though.

Great location with very helpful staff. The area has many excellent restaurants. Easy walk as far as Milenium park. Hotel restaurant great for breakfast. Bathroom nice but tub very small. The bed was not as comfortable as some reviews made it sound, mediocre mattress with a feather topper. Overall a very positive experience especially for the money.

The hotel was a great way to spend time in Chicago. It was on a rather secluded street but close to everything in the area. You could shop, dine and get around in a matter of minutes.

I booked a prestige suite for a bachelorette party recently and was very satisfied with the room (great space, fabulous views, very comfortable, etc.) I live in Chicago and have heard great things about this hotel. However, it was the service that impressed me the most. From the time we pulled up to the curb to the time I checked out, everyone was very pleasant and extremely helpful. I had to call the front desk numerous times for things like scissors, extra toilet paper, extra sheets and everything was delivered quickly. The room and hotel itself was gorgeous and definately worth the price, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone based soley on the level of customer service! I look forward to returning soon!

I loved the clean crisp design of the rooms and enjoyed the comfortable beds. The location is very convenient and most important the room was immaculate! I would love to stay there again.

The location of the hotel was excellent, the sorroundings were beautifull, you felt secure and close to many attractions and the Magnificent Mile. Accomodations were nice and confortable, and also the lobby was kept immaculate with nice decoration and fresh flowers. The Cafe de Architects served very good food. We ate there most of the time. I would recommend it.

The Sofitel is a beautiful hotel with European flair. The rooms and view were gorgeous, the modern styling and clean lines were amazing. the food quality was fantastic, service was amazing. We threw a 40th bday party and the desk staff did everything from deliver gifts and chill champagne to move our rooms closer together and even extend our stay with a cheaper rate. We didn't want to leave- and half of us live in Chicago! Both the restaurant and bar were great, very cool atmosphere, artistic by accessible. Room service was yummy- overall just wonderful experience!

We stayed here for a Cubs game and it was an excellent location. ($13-$15 cab ride to Wrigley with 2 people) It was a block off of the north side of Michigan Ave and a few blocks away from lakeshore dr. It was located in a quiet part of a neighborhood away from the people on Michigan Ave. The vallet parking is expensive but with being new to the area we did it anyways. We did not have to open a door or pick up a bag because it was all done for us. The rooms were nice but for what we paid i expected the rooms to be bigger. it was a nice room but just like every other hotel room....walk in, bathroom, tv, bed, desk, and a chair; no room to really move around. The bed was amazing though and possibly the best bed i have ever slept in.

My only rant is the Concierge. Didn't offer much in the way of recommendations for local restaurants. I wanted to experience something unique to Chicago...other than Deep Dish Pizza, and wasn't given much help. Other than that, the hotel was spectacular. Nice views, excellent location. Very clean and comfortable.

Only negative part of our stay was that we had to wait till almost 6pm to get our room. Other than that it was very professional.

This hotel is absolutely stunning - from the lobby to the restaurant to our room - no detail is overlooked. Floor to ceiling windows in our room overlooked the beautiful Chicago skyline. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer to us. They provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations, serviced every request as if we were their only guests. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Great hotel. Stayed there over the 4th July weekend.

awesome hotel, great service, extremely comfortable room. The location can't be beat. Nice bar/restaurant as well. I highly recommend it.

bed is fabulous but a bit soft. no top sheet. would want that. had to call for more bath towels... 2 more should be in room for next morning.

Spent a couple of nights here en route to Minnesota (from London, UK). Well located, in a quiet, leafy street; lovely staff; great breakfasts; elegant lunch outside on last day. Very helpful staff. Outrageous phone bill! Hotel not as large as feared. Would definitely return
