Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile - Chicago

Having travelled to Chicago many times this is my current hotel of choice. The rooms are clean, comfortable and pleanty big enough for two. There is a small pool a very hot tub and fitness room. The rooms are good value, for Chicago. The best thing is the location. Just a couple of blocks from Michigan Ave. 10 min walk to the Loop and 20 mins to Navy Pier. If you don't want to walk there is also a CTA station right outside the door.

this was a great hotel and its in a great location. there was a grocery store across the street and plenty of restaurants and several night clubs in walking distance.

Everything was neat and well done. All of the furnishings and decorations were new and tasteful. The staff was helpful and engaging. The pool was tiny, but the kids enjoyed it anyway. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

From my title, need I say more? I'm not sure of everyone else's experience, but I have to say this was an enjoyable stay! I was a little skeptical when I saw the price, but all my fevers where gone when I arrived. I highly recommend the hotel. It is only 2 blocks from the Michigan Avenue, so everything is in walking distance!

Our hotel stay was very nice - the staff was so friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was so quick. The only issue we had was in the parking garage. When we were leaving, we paid using the machine just prior to entering the garage to get our vehicles. But we and our son and his family had to make some changes with our vehicles and had to feed the baby before we left, so by that time, at the exit, we were required to pay another $20 per vehicle to get out. After already paying a significant amount for less that 2 days, we thought it was ridiculous and very inconvenient to pay more.

I really liked the location of the hotel, the room was good, and the service was outstanding. Only complaint, don't stay in room 1613 across from VERY loud ice machine and elevators...we were woken up both nights at 3:00am from party goers.....But we will stay again and just ask for a quiet room:)

Daily room service didn't show up until late afternoon. Less towels versus our previous visits. Location was good. Did not like that hotel holds back $400.00 on credit card during stay for incidentals. Overall for the money we enjoyed our stay.

We planned a small trip to Chicago and chose this hotel. It was definitely a great place, especially for our first time. It's located right downtown and it was definitely a comfortable stay for the price we paid. The hotel staff was extremely professional, helpful and friendly... and check-in and check-out was so simple! We definitely will stay here the next time we visit Chicago!

I really enjoyed the room. It was attractive without seeming to be like every other hotel. The employees were very friendly and helpful too. The Weber Grill breakfast was quite delicious!

This hotel was perfect for what I needed, centrally located for our plans, reasonably priced and comfortable. The staff was accommodating but a little slow when I tried to call Guest services. Twice the phone was never answered. The only negative was breakfast in the Weber Grill restaurant within the hotel. The breakfast was a buffet which I normally avoid but this is supposed to be a good restaurant so we tried it. The food was disgusting. The bacon was rubbery and greasy, the sausage was under-cooked and pink inside, fruit was tasteless and the eggs were cold. For the money, it was a rip-off.

It is difficult to find an affordable hotel that offers a king size bed in a good location. This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The location was within walking distance to many different attractions and close to the busline or redline. There were a variety of restaurants with a variety of prices within blocks. I would definitely stay here again.

We just got back from Chicago and the stay at this hotel was very good. Close to everything especially the subway if you plan on taking a ride to watch a game or to chinatown. Free trolley to Navy Pier was just a block away and also a few blocks from Michigan avenue. I suggest asking for a room in a higher floor to reduce street noise. We are really pleased for money we paid especially during these times.

Very decent hotel, friendly staff. A little pricey for the accommodations, but compared to nearby hotels, decent value.

Our room was clean, staff was awesome. If it was closer to our weekend plans I would stay there again, but it was cheaper than anywhere else. We had a nice stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was convenient to everything,and there was a grocery store across the street for breakfast / snack food. Our only complaint was that the elevators were incredibly slow.

All features of the hotel were excellent. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and the maid even gave us the weather report in the morning.

This hotel was great for budget travel. I felt very comfortable with the room and the service. I didn't experience any problems with noise, etc. The location was great. You're right in the heart of the action on Magnificent Mile, and everything you want in the way of tourism is easily accessible. The only thing was that the hotel lobby area had a funny smell. I don't know if it's the bleach they use to clean or what, but it doesn't make for a good first impression. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay.

I was trying to take my daughter on a trip to Chicago-but on a budget...this hotel was excellent! The hotel staff was very friendly, and beyond helpful with directions and recommendations! Very low cost with high end service!

Booked a double room and when we checked in they only had a king available for 4 people. They did get us a roll a way bed but it was very uncomfortable. Parking was expensive. Disappointed for the money I spent.

After prepaying, they didn't have a room ready at check in. After about an hour they gave us an upgrade, but we spent the hour in the bar area with our two small children. The pool is small and was busy. We didn't even use it. Room was clean, and people were friendly.

This location was excellent! Will stay there as often as I can when downtown!

Enjoyed our stay. The staff did everything they could to assist us. The ability to leave our bags at the hotel prior check-in or afetr checking out exceeded our expectations.

Restaurant in hotel is very good. You can ride the trolly (which picks up 1/2 block away and drops you off right in front of hotel) free back and forth to the Navy Pier. Nice stay.

We went to Chicago to see the Cubs play and the El Red Line, which runs straight to Wrigley, was right next to the hotel. The hotel is walking distance to Michigan Ave, Downtown Loop and Navy Pier.

Just right for someone with not a lot of money and two little kids. They loved the pool, but it would have been nicer if other guests obeyed the rules and controlled their children. Could have been closer to places we went, but it was only a short walk to the bus stop.

We were very impressed with this hotel. The location was within walking distance to the Pier. There were many shops and restaurants close by. The room was large, spotless and very comfortable. Up to date ammenities and plenty of space to relax. Large bathroom and closet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Walls seemed a bit thin--could hear next door TV while in the bathroom, but overall nice. Got upgraded to a corner room on a non-smoking floor when the room I was booked in was on a half-smoking, half-non-smoking floor. Convenient to shopping and the El. Room clean, beds comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was right in the heart of downtown Chicago with easy access to all the attractions. The room was very nice, clean and quiet, hard to believe it was only a 3 star hotel. The price of the room was unbeatable although the price of parking needs to be factored in $74.00 for 2 nights. We would DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again!

The location was perfect. Train, bus, and free trolley stop literally at the front door. Convenient for walking to restaurants and shopping. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to questions or problems. Maid service was okay, forgot to leave towels and washclothes some days. Overall a good place to stay for a family.

We come to Chicago each summer and this hotel was a great find. We stepped off the Red Line, looked up, and there was the hotel right in front of us. Very convenient location, rooms were large (which can be hard to find in Chicago), clean and comfortable. No negatives - it was all good! We will stay here again next year.

We have stayed at other hotels in the Chicago area in the past. This hotel is by far the best. John, weekend guest services supervisor and his staff where very helpful in getting us directions to the events going on in different parts of the city the weekend we were there. The hotel parking is kind of pricey but there was no damage to the car while parked in the hotel's parking area. Access to the underground CTA red line is 100 feet from the hotel. This will be our hotel of choice when going back to Chicago!!!!

Loved the hotel. Very nicely furnished rooms. The only problem I had was that checkout time was at 11AM and house cleaning came knocking at my door at 9AM to clean my room. So much for sleeping in!

The hotel room itself was excellent. The street noise was not a problem the problem was that the walls and door to hallway were very thin and every conversation could be heard from the room. It was 3am when a group of people came back from an outing and a few decided to carry on conversation in their room but their conversation and music was heard in our room.

We stayed at this hotel the night before a White Sox game. The hotel is in a great location and is very easy to get to. There are many things to do close by. The red line is also right outside the hotel. The only problem we had was the fridge in the room. Every time the fridge kicked on, it sounded like the buzzer on the alarm clock. So we were woken up EVERY time it came on. Needless to say we were very tired the next day.
