The staff had a strike line outside the hotel. Barricades from the police department were outside the front entrance. A large inflatable Rat was outside the entrance each day. Hotel workers gave us wrong information on the time breakfast was being served on Sunday morning. The bus stop to the train was convenient.

I had read other reviews with some issues of comfort or cleanliness. I found the hotel and staff to be very nice. Rooms were well kept. No noise from the airport across the highway at all. I only heard and saw fireworks from the hotel window, but it was the fourth of July :-)

The people at the check in desk were very rude. The chlorine smell from the pool was so strong that it gave me headaches. We had to pay $13/day to park at the hotel. Parking at the hotel on the 3rd level there is no elevator - so you have to carry you luggage up and down the steps. Very inconvenient!! There was supposed to be a small refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. The rooms were supposed to be non-smoking and they reeked of smoke. We changed rooms and the other room was no better. Overall, I would never stay at this hotel again.

Clean rooms,professional staff.Convenient location to Laguardia airport.Easy access to Grand central parkway,going to Manhattan or Long Island.Nice restaurant on premises.Stayed many times.Recommended highly.Sent friends there to stay.They where very satisfied.

very nice hotel, far from public transportation. Held bags at the hotel for someone else to pick up. A+ customer service. not too crowded/noisy

The housekeeping staff was wonderful...everything very clean. That's the good news.The only good news. My poor husband is looking for a good massuse to perform a miracle on his now destroyed back.......the beds at the Crown Plaza were so bad that even our two teenaged boys that can sllep through a bomb were aching! So you can guess how two forty-something-parents are feeling!! The sore backs we had were not relieved with hot showers because we had no hot water, showers were luke warm at best. When we asked management for a monetary adjustment for the poor rooms (we changed to another room and the beds were the same) the manager said that since we pre-paid with Hotels.com there was no money to refund.

Everything was wonderful! I just wish there was a later shuttle to the subway and we would've stayed there the whole time we were in NYC. The room was very big as was the bathroom. The travel shampoo, conditioner, lotion, face & bath bars smelled amazing. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing that was a little disappointing was we stayed christmas day and they had no lifeguard on duty so the pool and hot tub were closed. That was the whole reason we chose to stay there in the first place...so we woke up extra early to use the facilities. Other than that...I highly recommend it!!

This hotel was very nice and was in a convenient location if you have a car, which we did. If you fly in from LaGuadia it is very convenient and has a shuttle. Rooms were quiet, even though planes were taking off from the airport. You could hardly hear them.

The shuttle pick up took about 20 minutes or so, which was annoying but not too bad since the weather was nice. The room itself was spacious, but given that the room had no windows the hotel should have made sure that lamps were aplenty, which was not the case. Also the bed was a murphy bed (the kind that folds up into a wall unit), which was not nearly as comfortable as a regular mattress w/box spring. Was not expecting that from a 3.5 star hotel.

Rates very high vs. quality of property and poor treatment from front desk staff. Stranded at LGA due to rain and so needed a room- very expensive, even though I'm a Priority Club Gold Member. The fire alarm started at 11:30 PM and the PA announcements kept coming through to the rooms that it was a system problem and not to worry. Very noisy the whole time and finally resolved around 1 AM. At one point it was easy to hear (over the PA system through the entire hotel!) a guest screaming at the front desk staff about the alarm, loud f-bombs and all. In the morning at check-out I asked for any consideration due to the situation and the staff was rude and said the alarm was for guest safety. Guest safety... a 1.5 hr. false alarm in the middle of the night? I wasn't feeling safe, I was feeling ripped-off! Amazing. No apology from the staff.

Able to walk from USAirways baggage claim to the hotel. Which was a good thing since the shuttle bus took 1/2 hour to pick me up.

This Crown Plaza LaGuardia was excellent. Service/Room and proximity of the hotel to the airport was fabulous. Hotel.com service is excellent!

Returned from Italy and spent our first night back in the states at the Crowne Plaza;were very pleased with the service and kindness of all the staff. A pleasant change from the staff at most hotels in Italy.

We chose this hotel because we were leaving early in the morning on a flight from LaGuardia. We wanted to spend the evening in Times Square. We found the expense of taking a taxi to and from the hotel to the city to be well worth the savings we got from staying away from the city. The shuttle to the airport was convenient and friendly. The hotel was nicely accomodated for the price.

While the hotel service and staff were excellent, we had several calls for maintenance for the bathroom and the air conditioning.

I thought it was a little to noisy in the morning. It's like the walls are thin and you hear everything. Even the people in the other room when they are taking a shower...

I have to say, although my stay was very comfortable, it was ackward staying in a room with no windows for four days. Also,the check-in women are not very personable or frendly.

While the staff was very courteous and efficient, I wouldn't recommend the hotel if other options are available. The bathroom fixtures and caulking were very worn, which made the room seem less than antiseptic. The staff of the bar was great, quick and attentive service.

I liked the little "sleep" packet that was left on my bed with the cd and fragrance. Also, the guy, Paul, at the desk, was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and room service food was very tasty. I wish the gym was open 24 hours though.

Vi bodde där när vi skulle semestra på Manhattan. De hade en fri shuttle varje timme på förmiddagen till närmsta tunnelbana. Så totalt tog det bara 45-50 minuter från hotellet till Time Square. På tillbaka vägen tog man en lokalbuss från tunnelbanan som stannade utanför hotellet.
