pay special attention to the hotels description for facilities available...when asking for direction to swimming pool,we were told that people sometimes swim in the river across the road so we felt we were generally mislead by hotels webpage photos...that said...the hotel is a handy walk into town,we did not eat there-quite expensive,but it was sufficient as a place to lay your head after the day...all in all i dont think id return though

An excellent hotel in a good central location offering a high level of service a nd comfort.

The hotel is located slightly remotely from the downdown (5-minute walk) and overlooks the Linmat River - that was perfect for me so I could go and join the fun downtown but also sleep in a quiet place. The room was big for Europe but the bathroom was small - especially the bathtub - for the price paid (Deluxe Business room). I had chosen a room in the Main building after reading the reviews from other travelers and it was very quiet. The Executive Lounge was a nice welcoming feature. I enjoyed breakfast, snacks and hors-d'oeuvres there in a nice atmosphere. Service (housekeeping, turn down, concierge)was excellent. I would definitively recommend.

High standard, friendly service, decent location

Hotel was nice. Location was a little inconvenient - a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Most hotels and restaurants are located a within 5 minutes of the train station.

Great central location. Efficient & pleasant service. Great buffet breakfast. Stayed there a second time as this hotel really suited us (2 adults & 1 child).

Although the hotel is set back about a 10 minute walk from the main part of town, the quality of stay is worth this slight inconvenience. From reception to standard of room it is just a very nice place to stay. Only the Sheraton is comparable.

Nice enough hotel, with good staff, clean rooms, good linen, comfortable beds and basically all you need. The only downsides where (i) staff came in to the room in the morning without even knocking and (ii) housekeeping didn't replace any of the items from the minibar. Small things (but annoying at the time), and I would recommend the hotel to anyone. Great breakfasts!

A really good hotel - Very close the the Airport (5min by train) - only a few minutes walk from the station - great service A bit pricey though.

We liked very much the hotel in general but, in particular, we were very impress for the variety and quality of the breakfast.

Lovely hotels with great views over the river Limmat. Very friendly and helpful staff, service is excellent. A couple of minor points to consider: if you're looking for a very central location in Zurich, it might not be the best hotel. Although it is very close to everything (about 7-10min walk to the main train station and city centre), it is not right in the old town centre. Another thing, when we booked the hotel, we weren't notified that there is a city tax of CHF2.50 per person per night - this is charged on top of your rate.

The Marriott is in walking distance from the Zurich train station and near many bus and tram stops, so its location is great. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The 35/day franc charge for internet was too high.

This is a great hotel. I was extremely satisfied with every thing except the location of my room. The hotel has two buildings. The main tower and the North building. My room was in the north building. All of the rooms here are on the side of a very noisy streetcar which zooms by and sounds like it is rolling through your room. I am from New York City so I have a higher tolerence of noise than most people but, I did find it annoyingly disturbing. Other than that, it is an excellent hotel in a great location with a courteous and knowledgible staff and execellent facilities.

Das einzig Gute war, dass wir das Zimmer schon Vormittags beziehen konnten, da meine Frau einen Bandscheibenvorfall hatte und liegen musste. Ansonsten: Kein Service! Keine Wärmflaschen im Hotel, kein Feuerzeuggas vorrätig, zudem war im Zimmer nebenan das Housekeeping, durch die Verbindungstür war es so laut im Zimmer, dass man kaum schlafen konnte, da die Türen dauernd laut ins Schloss fielen. Man wohnte wie in einer Trommel. Der Zustand des Badezimmerswar ebenfalls nicht 5-Sterne: Alte Armaturen, Warmwasser erst nach 3 Minuten etc. 5 Sterne hat das Mariott keinesfalls verdient.

Die Türen schließen derart laut, dass man durch das Türknallen(schlechte Türschließer) nicht einschlafen kann. Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern sind sehr stark zu hören. Der Duschkopf im Bad war nicht dicht. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren äußerst zuvorkommen und haben einen perfekten Service geboten, sehr lobenswert.

Frühstücksraum etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber Ausweichmöglichkeit im Restaurant.

Très bien placé (près de la gare centrale avec tout le shopping à côté), cet hôtel était à la fois pratique et agréable.

Het personeel is ontzettend voorkomend, zeer vriendelijk, in dit hotel voel je je thuis en heerlijk relaxed. Er heerst geen gedwongen sfeer. Het eten is kwalitatief zeer goed.

Hotel in sehr guter Lage, schön eingerichtete Zimmer, alles sauber, freundliches Personal. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen. Negativ fielen bloß folgende Punkte auf: IKEA-Lampen und Sofas in einem Seitenflügel (wirkten doch etwas deplatziert in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel), für das Frühstück 1 Stern Abzug, Geräte im Fitnessraum wirkten veraltet.
