Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference Center - Roma

Having just visited Rome 10 months ago we were back in town for a cruise. We stayed 3 days prior to the cruise and 1 day post cruise at the sheraton. Really the only downside is the location and the food is mediocre but it was so nice to get off the airplane walk outside terminal c and there was a bus for 5 euros each to take you right to the hotel. Last time we were there we dragged our bags onto the train for 11 euros each and then switched to the metro and then had to drag our bags to the hotel. They also had a nice pool because it is so hot in the summer there. They do have a nice shuttle service to downtown rome for 3 euros and it beats the mile walk to the metro on a busy road with no sidewalk. After our cruise i had originally booked another hotel but after staying there before the cruise canceled my other reservation and made one at the sheraton. It was great after being on a ship for 13 days, we cam back to the sheraton, took the shuttle to rome for a nice dinner, came back got a good nights sleep and took the 7 am shuttle to the airport and got dropped off right outside the terminal for our 9:20 am flight with plenty of time to spare. So I say if you have never been to rome stay in the heart of things so you can walk and see the sights, but if you have been there and want to save some money, and dont want to pay for taxis or ride the metro all the time the sheraton is the way to go.

Good size rooms. Buffet breakfast very good for European standards. My son enjoyed the workout facility. Don't expect to walk anywhere from the hotel. There is a shuttlebus service (20 minutes ride) that drops you off downtown at a point that is about a 15 minute walk to the Coloseum/Forum. The cost for round trip is about 1/4 of what taxi round trip fare would be for 4 people. The shuttle runs about every hour, and last shuttle from downtown was at 11:30PM.

Worth a visit if your in the vacinity

The hotel is pinned into what amounts to a highway ramp so walking to anywhere is difficult. Really there is nothing to walk to anyway. There is very limited "safe" free parking, so a 23 euro a night parking charge is likely, if you are driving. The immediate hotel grounds were fine, but the surrounding grounds including the "unsafe" parking lots were litter strewn. There are better choices in Rome.

I couldn't recommend this hotel more. I researched a lot of hotels in Rome before deciding on the Sheraton and I've come back knowing it was the right choice. You will not get a better hotel with swimming pool, reakfast and transfer for the money. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are really big and comfy. Breakfast is really nice and fresh; choice of cereals, fruit or cooked breakfast. Shuttle is convienient (book before, don't just turn up). However, taxis into the centre are under 20 euros anyway. Make sure you tell the taxi drivers at the airport to take you to the Shearton 'Roma'- (there are two Sheratons' in Rome and there is a con to take you to the wrong one as it's closer). Swimming pool is gorgeous - they hand out free towels. Gym is also really nice. Pool bar is very nice too, but be wary of the prices - around £6 a beer! Overall very enjoyable. For the money it's superb value. Would definately go again.

Lovely hotel. The superior bedrooms are very nice and quiet. Not the best place to get to by public transport, metro and bus or metro and quite a dangerous walk. The bus we caught from the metro station to the hotel did not stop outside the hotel, the bell had rung twice for the stop, it took us one and half hours to get back to the hotel from the next stop on.

This was a wonderful hotel stay in Rome. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and does speak English. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! It is a bit out of the way; although they do provide a shuttle service, it doesn't run often enough.

I truly loved my stay in this hotel. Everyone was very nice a very helpful. The restaurant was great, food was very good. Service was great all around. Yes, it is a little far from downtown Rome, but they have a great shuttle service to the city. Actually, it ws nice not to stay in the hustle and bustle. I would highly recommand this hotel.

Quite impressive .

Good hotel to stay at, comfortable and friendly, knowledgeable service. Location is a bit far, but they do offer a bus to the city for $3 round trip, but the bus runs about every 1hr 30min, so you have to prepare.

The hotel was great but the surrounding area was gross and it's too far to walk to the city center. A cab ride from Vatican City will run you about 40 Euros. There is a shuttle bus but the times and frequency are not that helpful. If you have a car, then you will have no problems as there is ample parking and the hotel as well as the staff were excellent.

Hotel was nice to relax at. Walking distance from Eur Maligana Metro station. Only hotel I've had at Europe with one queen size bed. Pool was nice, service was ok. Breakfast buffet was worth enjoying. Far away from sights in Rome, but if you're comfortable with subways, not really a problem. Overall would recommend, and stay at again.

This was a perfect place to stay, at the end of our trip in Italy. The rooms are big by European standards-after two weeks moving all over Europe, the American style of hoteling/hospitality was perfect! Really great breakfast. Bar in the loby has live entertainment, so we could stay in some evenings and still have something relaxing to do. The location is about 15 minutes from the sites of Rome, by car. There is regular shuttle service available and quite convinient.

Room very really nice and staff were very friendly. Stayed in room that got us into executive lounge and went in for glass of wine after sightseeing in Rome. Not a very big variety as just offers wine, softdrinks, snacks and pizza. Very expensive to eat and drink in the Hotel. The free shuttel to the shopping centre was great but the shops were nothing to write home about. Great breakfast as there is a big selection of pastries, fruit, cereals and warm food. Breakfast is served till 10:30 and they are strict to kick you out by 10:30. Lovely pool and nice drinking on the balcony at the executive lounge.

The hotel was great! It's a little far from things, but they have a shuttle (you have to pay for) that drops you off in a decent location by the monuments. They have computers to use for internet connection for no charge, but often there is a wait for one. The only complaint is in regard to the shuttle service. The pick up and drop off times are around an hour an a half apart and that seems like a long time if you miss a time. Also the pick up location was often very crowded and there were times when some people were left. That may have been because of the holiday weekend, but I think they should do something about that. I wouldn't have wanted to be stuck waiting for another 90 minutes.

This is a phenomenal hotel that offers exactly what I needed. I had trouble finding the place, and the hotel staff stayed on the line with me for quite some time and patiently guided me at midnight. The room is very nice, comfortable and spacious, has everything you may need. Sorry to disappoint you if you are looking for flaws - believe me, I did. I booked this hotel because I had a meeting in the area, but even though it is distant from the airport, I am still going to use it - perfect.

Typical room size for European hotels. However, the comfort of the bed was better than most. The free shuttle to the center of Rome was a plus and the hotel is walking distance from downtown.

Hard to justify staying here in the future with the price of a room and the amenities provided. Further, the check-in and check-out processes are very inefficient, but heck, this is Rome!

Kjempe flott hotell. Ypperlig service. Kjenpe fint med shuttle buss fra hotellet til sentrum. Veldig dyrt å spise og drikke på hotellet. Dette synes jeg var kjempe synd.

Meget bra hotell som absolutt anbefales. Rommene var grei mens resten av hotellet var meget bra. Veldig bra "shuttle" ordning med buss til/fra flyplass - hotellet og mellom hotellet og bykjernen til en rimlig pris.Fint bassengområdet som var ypperlig til avkjølning i august varmen. Det ligger metro stasjon 5min gange fra hotellet som tar deg akkurat hvor du vil i Roma. Personalet var behjelpelig med tips og råd om det meste. Hotellet har det meste du trenger som minibank, restaurant og buss.

hotellet var jättebra men standard på rummet motsvarade inte riktigt bilden och priset. Priset motsvarade pool och annat på hotellet. frukosten var kanon! Mycket att välja på och generöst.

Meget godt hotell, av høy klasse. Gunstig pris på overnatting, rellativ dyr mat. Flott svømmebaseng med uteservering av mat og drikke. Godt transporttilbud til / fra flyplass og sentrum. +++ for: Alltid taxi klar ved hotellet.

Överlag väldigt nöjd med hotellet - fräscha rum med allt man kan tänkas behöva, trevligt poolområde med med något överprissatt bar. Nära till tunnelbanestationen som man tar sig in på 10 min till stan, och 30 min till Lide om man vill bada i havet. Gångvägen från hotellet bör man dock vara väldigt försiktig när man tar då det inte finns någon trottoar hela vägen och många farliga korsningar där folk kör som ******. Väldigt bra frukost med allt på bordet man som svensk är van vid på hotell - inte alls så tråkigt som det brukar vara i Italien. Skulle inte tveka på att bo där igen!

Billig hotell i forhold til hotellets standard. Fine rom. Fint basseng, men litt få solsenger. Ligger også litt utenfor sentrum, men ikke noe problem å ta t-bane. Tar ca 25 minutter fra hotellet til sentrum. T-bane 1 euro.

Pluss: Veldig bra Fitness senter med de beste tredemøllene jeg har funnet i noe hotell. Veldig bra frokost. Flott med shuttle bus til flyplass og sentrum. Minus: Slet med air condition på vårt rom (medio mai, så da kan det bli ille i juli/august). Hotellet ligger inneklemt i en gedigen trafikkmaskin, men dette ble avhjulpet med shuttlebus. 8-10 min til metro. Poolen var ennå ikke åpnet for sesongen (16. mai).

Het hotel is niet slecht. Het is er schoon en verzorgd, maar mist sfeer. Het grootste minpunt van dit hotel is de afstand tot het centrum. Dertig minuten met de pendelbus of metro. Op de terugweg is het vechten voor een plaatsje in de pendelbus. Het zwembad was toen wij er waren (begin mei) gesloten. Het ontbijt is goed en uitgebreid. Je kunt (een uur) gratis gebruik maken van het internet.

Gepflegtes Hotel in der Nähe einer Metro Station,etwas außerhalb vm Zentrum.

Sher gutes Hotel mit ausgezeichnetem Frühstück in der Nähe einer U.Bahn Station.

Kwalitatief goed hotel. Metrostation is niet ver, maar het hotel is vanaf het metrostation de eerste keer moeilijk te vinden/bereikbaar. Als je de weg eenmaal weet 10 minuten lopen. Ontbijtbuffet is zeer goed en uitgebreid.

Ottimo albergo, soprattutto molto comodo per la Fiera e Aeroporto

Fint hotel med god komfort. Fremragende fitnessrum. Morgenmaden er dog knap så imponerende. Beliggenheden er god, dog ike hvis man vil gå til fods fra hotellet, da det ligger klods op af et stærkt trafikeret vejnet.

Goed hotel, goede service, prima ontbijt, met shuttlebus en/of taxi binnen 15-20 minuten zowel in centrum als op luchthaven.

we enjoyed our stay, friendly staff and overall satisfied services. Shuttle busses to shopping center and downtown are usefull and easy to use.
