Just great, perfect location, everything is good about this hotel.

It was wonderful! Easy, convienent and they even sent up a microwave so we could cook baby's food in the room.

We stayed over for the weekend and the hotel room was bigger than some of the other hotels in chicago. The location is literally on Magnificent mile. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to stay in downtown chicago without hurting your pocket.

We loved the hotel and the room, put we had some trouble with the people at the front desk. When we check in we asked if there was a fridge in the room for our dinner leftovers. They said no but we could move the items out of the mini bar and hold our leftovers in there for our 1-night stay. We did this. When we returned from our night out we had a $60 bill under our door for all of the minibar items. We asked them to correct it and they would only if we put all of the items back in the bar within 5 minutes so that they could see. So we had to leave our leftovers out to be ruined since we were lied to.

very cool room, nice furnishings and location

Hotel was trendy, clean, comfortable and in a great location. The only negative thing about The Avenue was that there is literally no lobby and the concierge was hard to find. There is a restaurant and bar attached that had great breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic hotel. Great room for the money. Very satisfied. We had a total of 3 rooms between 6 of us. Very accomodating. Easy check in and check out. Early check in and late check out hours were flawless and extremely helpful.

The bathroom in my hotel was disgusting. There were flies all over the floor and tub area. I had a great view of the air conditioner units outside. I can't complain about the view since it was a good rate, but the flies are unacceptable. Not coming back here.

Our stay at Avenue Hotel tell was perfect. The employees are very knowledgeable with the city and its surroundings. It was very clean and perfectly priced.

Very Convenient and intimate feel, has a very modern classy look and feel. Has all the bells and whistle's without any hassle.

The location is great, the staff extremely friendly and the overall value is terrific.

We came in from the suburbs to stay for a family overnight with our two teenagers. Avenue was one of very few hotels we could find in Chicago that offered two queen beds in one room. The pool on 40th floor was awesome with a wonderful view. Staff was very friendly; Concierge helped booked dinner cruise tickets for us on short notice. Lots of affordable restaurants (as affordable as Chicago can be!) surrounding hotel for quick meals. Flat screen t.v. was nice. Very short walking distance to many things, including Navy Pier, Riverwalk, Lakefront, and Mag Mile. Located next to Northwestern Hospital so it is a bustling area. I recommend this hotel.

I've stayed in a number of Mag Mile hotels and decided to give this one a try on a good deal. I suppose it was acceptable, but there were a number of things I didn't like. The bag check was a complete joke. Both mornings I was there, the lobby was filled with bags that the porters hadn't put away. Just everywhere. I could have made off with any bag I wanted with the right timing! The valet charge is also ridiculous. The weekend I stayed here, I also stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, and the RITZ had cheaper valet. THE RITZ of all places. Paneling was also peeling in our bathroom. Only good part: the room was huge. But the AC was so loud that we shut it off. You can do a lot better in the immediate vicinity. Won't stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights. Room was clean, staff was friendly. This size of the room was much larger then other hotels in Chicago that we have stayed in. Will stay here again.

Visiting Chicago is always a great time. The Avenue helped. Great location. Comfy beds and clean room. Quiet. Fair price.

We arrived 2 hours earlier than check-in but it was not a problem...we got right into our room. The beds were great and the bathroom was clean. I did find it odd that the little bottles of shampoo and lotion had been opened already...either it was over looked when the room was cleaned or the hotel is going green by not wasting them. Whatever, I was fine with it. We had room service for breakfast and it was outstanding. Loved the location and would stay here again if I can get a great deal again!!!

The Avenue is in walking distance to everything I wanted to see. Great location nice view too.

The hotel was beautiful and in a good location, however, it is not a place for children to stay. There were no vending machines or any other "quick fixes" for a hungry (or thirsty) child, or even yourself, unless you are willing to pay for the "amenities" in the fridge. Also, if you have leftover food you would like to snack on later, there was no room in the afore mentioned fridge. The only thing that made this stay okay for my family, was the view from the pool that was on the roof, but thats just not enough to make us want to stay again.

Good value for great location. However, we paid the $48 valet/garage parking and our SUV came back with scrapes on the bumper. We're still waiting to hear back from the parking garage manager. This has left us with a sour taste...not likely we'll go back.

If you are looking for location, the Avenue is great. The bed was very comfortable and the suite was very spacey. However, as with most new boutique Chicago hotels, you can definitely tell the building is old (the elevators were slow and small). Would recommend if you can get a good deal...

Great Hotel - right off of Michigan Avenue - 6 blocks to Navy Pier - hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We would stay here again. The kids all loved the rooftop pool.

The hotel was decent enough, but not nearly worth the amount charged. As some of the other guests have noted, the hotel seems to think more of itself than it should. The staff, while reasonably nice, was a bit pretentious, and expected to be tipped for things such as commenting on the weather. Overall, not horrible, but I will not stay there again.

The bed was excellent, very comfortable, and the location was awesome. However, they put us in a handicap room and would not move us when we requested. We were right next to the elevators which were noisy and the room was not set up the same as the regular rooms. There was no seating area, less room, and the shower head was set low with no water pressure, my 6' tall husband could barely take a shower in there.

Nice hotel the only down side is the pool area is way to small.... only room for about 10 people to lay out so I was very dissapointed

We went for a three generation girls weekend. My mom wanted to do everything first class. Got a great deal on the hotel and decided on the Avenue because of the great location. The room was spacious, clean, and the teen girls in the group loved the contemporary decor and the penthouse pool. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with all our needs.

This hotel was located in a great area next to Michigan Avenue. Very clean and neat. The heating and cooling system didn't seem to work real well. Extremely cool and then when temperature was ajusted extremely warm. Two degrees went from cool to hot. The room we had, had a bathroom that was not real functional. Very small and not accomodating. There were only 3 of us. Maybe other rooms have different bathroom layouts. Overall worked for us but for the money you would have thought everything would have been "perfect". Thank You.

The Ave hotel exceed my expectations. Furnishings were high end and the view from my 39th floor suite was breathtaking. Great location-within walking distance to Chicago points of interests. Highly reccommend!!

We just spent one night here, but were very impressed by the hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The room appeared to have been recently renovated. The location was great-one block from Michigan Ave-within walking distance of everything we were interested in. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My only complaint was with the high cost of overnight parking, but have a feeling that is normal for downtown Chicago.

The concierge was not on duty Saturday night! "He works when he chooses." We had to wait 15 minutes for our bags making us late for our train. No vending beverage/snack machines even though the book in room said they were in lobby. Lobby is so minimal it is almost not there. The desk clerks and housekeeping were excellent.

The Avenue Hotel was great. They were very accommodating to my kids. The roof top pool was great - what a way to see the city. The room was large with room for my boys to have fun and not feel trapped. Would recommend to anyone!

Rooms have thin walls--easy to hear neighbors. Loved the roof deck. Would rather have high pressure shower head vs. soft rainshower head for washing soap out of hair. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Hotel staff polite.

Hotels.com gave us an aewsome rate for this hotel. I was so impressed with our location in downtown Chicago, the price we recieved, and the actual hotel room was beautiful. Very nice room!!!
